Mozell is named after my mother who is grand, dynamic, and elegant. The original design of this necklace was more asymmetrical with less stones and more chain. But, it didn't work. When she was visiting, I decided to re-design it and came up with this three stone design, with her input. Even though my mother is more eccentric than this seems to me, it's perfect and represents the rock solid person she is to all of us who know and love her.
Unlike my challenges with the necklace, this ring is my mother. It's one of my most popular pieces. Since I wear black ALL the time, I end up wearing the obsidian Mozell ring several times a week. I don't even put it up. I stays on my bookcase for easy access.
The gemstones used, Smokey Quartz for creativity and Obsidian for the inner warrior, fits exactly with who my mother is: wonderfully creative and strong as hell. This indeed is a very sentimental set. The gemstone focal points represent the solid foundation that my mother is...my rock. I hope this set inspires you to honor the rock solid person in your life.
